What About Me?  Guide to parenting stress and self-care

Wednesday February 23rd - 7:00-8:30PM

Presented by Catherine Korah

* Only 100 spots available, for those who cannot attend, a recording will be made available.

Being a parent nowadays is far from being easy. Although parenting is one of the most rewarding experiences, it is at the same time one of the most challenging ones, both on an emotional and physical level. We all want to be the best parents we can be for our children, but there is often conflicting advice on how to raise them. Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all guide, especially not in a time of pandemic.

This presentation will focus on making sense of parenting stressors and how to accompany parents in building their resilience in order to face everyday challenges and bounce back from adversity.

About the speaker: Catherine Korah is a Guidance Counsellor at the Riverside School Board and the co-coordinator of the Centre of Excellence for Behaviour Management. She has worked for over 15 years in a number of educational settings with students with challenging behaviours. Catherine is also a certified Psychotherapist from l'ordre des psychologues du Québec. Since 2007, she has been practicing family therapy as well as parent coaching.
